How Did India’s Defence Exports Hit Record ₹38,424 Crore in FY26?

India’s Defence Exports climbed to a historic high of ₹38,424 crore in FY 2025–26 as it records an impressive 62.7% rise over the previous year. The growth in Defence Exports has been supported by the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, which focuses on boosting domestic capabilities and promoting self-reliance in the defence sector. Meanwhile, Defence manufacturing in the country climbed to a record ₹1.78 lakh crore during the financial year.
