Egypt Chocolate Exports Hit $251M in 2025. Here’s How?
Egypt’s chocolate exports have recorded strong growth in 2025. It reaches approximately $251 million, as demand for Egyptian chocolate products increased in international markets. According to data from the Food Export Council, Egypt exported nearly 33,000 tonnes of chocolate and cocoa-based food preparations during the year.
Moreover, this latest data highlight the expanding reach of Egypt’s chocolate industry. Chocolate and cocoa-based exports grew by 64% in value compared with 2024, whereas their value recorded a compound annual growth rate of 38% between 2020 and 2025.
Saudi Arabia has become the largest destination for Egypt’s chocolate and cocoa-based food preparations in 2025. Egyptian exports to the kingdom were valued at approximately $87 million. It accounts for nearly 35% of total exports in the category.
The UAE followed with $37 million, whereas Kuwait received around $18 million. The UK and Qatar ranked fourth and fifth, with exports worth approximately $15 million and $12 million. Generally, these five markets accounted for about 67.3% of Egypt’s total chocolate exports.
Notably, Egypt ranked 10th globally among exporters of the covered chocolate. Cocoa-based products, with a 3% share of global exports in 2025.
In addition, the growth in exports of chocolate reflects the increasing international presence of Egyptian food manufacturers. The chocolate industry could play an important role in Egypt’s processed-food exports with strong demand from Arab markets and opportunities to expand into new destinations.
