India’s Jewellery Exports Record 26.5% in June on Strong Global Demand
According to the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), India’s jewellery exports registered a strong recovery in June 2026, increasing 26.5% year-on-year. This impressive growth signals enhancing global consumer demand and a rise in export orders from major international markets. It offers renewed optimism for the country’s gem and jewellery industry.
Significantly, this rebound is expected to boost the jewellery sector, which has been navigating changing global demand and economic uncertainties in recent years. As per Industry experts, improving consumer confidence in key markets, such as the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, has contributed significantly to the rise in exports.
Notably, demand for gold jewellery, silver jewellery, and platinum jewellery has remained healthy as international buyers placing larger orders as retail markets recover. Not only this, but exporters are also focusing on innovative designs and premium craftsmanship to stay competitive in global markets.
Besides this, the participation in international jewellery exhibitions and trade fairs has helped Indian manufacturers connect with overseas buyers and expand business opportunities, while showcasing the country’s expertise in jewellery manufacturing. Broadly speaking, this latest export performance signals positive momentum for India’s gem and jewellery industry. If this global demand continues to enhance, exporters expect steady growth in the upcoming months, supported by favourable market conditions and stronger international trade relationships.
The GJEPC has stated that sustained export growth will play a crucial role in enhancing India’s position as one of the world’s leading suppliers of high-quality jewellery products.
