STC invites bids for sale of imported pulses

State Trading Corp has floated a tender to sell 800 tonnes of imported pulses on ex-warehouse basis in Mumbai and Kolkata. Of the total quantity, “STC has offered 400 tonnes of masur, and 200 tonnes each of urad and moong. The bidding will end at 3 pm on June 29 and bids will be opened at 3.30 pm the same day, it said. The bids will remain valid for acceptance until 5.30 pm on July 6.

State-run MMTC Ltd on May 6, 2010 floated a tender to import 15,000 tonne of pulses for shipments in June-July. The tenders include bids for 6,000 each of black matpe and pigeon peas and 3,000 tonne of clickpeas. The last date for submission of bids is May 14.

The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) has floated a tender to import 25,000 tonnes Canadian yellow peas. In a separate tender, Nafed also invited bids for supply of various pulses such as urad, moong, masur, and tur.
